HAVmeter Starter System

The HAVmeter provides personal hand-arm vibration protection from the dangers of over exposure to hand-arm vibration (HAV). Any company using power tools can now easily monitor and measure the usage of specific tools by employees with a very simple and effective hand-arm vibration meter. The HAVmeter is the complete solution for measuring tool usage by employees and, as they get close to dangerous levels of vibration exposure, can be warned. The HAVmeter system breaks down into four parts. HAVmeter The HAVmeter measures an employees usage of any tool and gathers data as the tool is used including time and vibration levels. Each time a tool is used the HAVmeter is attached to the tool tag. Tool Tag The tool tag is permanently attached to each tool and comes colour coded to warn of potential vibration risk. These tags also contain data about the tool being used. Base Station The Base Station charges each HAVmeter and can be used to download data after use. Each employee uses a personal swipe card to take a HAVmeter for the duration of their working shift. The HAVmeter is then returned to the base station afterwards.

Vibration Software

The Toolminder vibration software can collect data from the base station which is then analysed and reports generated covering the tool usage, an employees vibration exposure levels. The Toolminder software can also be used to track tools, asset management, task management and employee shift durations.

Since the introduction of the Control of Vibration at Work Regulations (2005) it has become essential for all companies to ensure their workers are not exposed to dangerous levels of vibration.
