The PCE-VM 25 Vibration Meter is designed for engine monitoring to assure a smooth operation of machines. Due to its simple application, the Vibration Meter can be used for the measurement of a large range of parameters including acceleration, velocity and displacement. The Vibration Meter not only shows the effective value but also the peak value and crest factor. The Vibration Meter delivers detailed information on the current state as well as past history of the measurement values due to a spectral analysis and a tendency prognosis. Measured data can be transferred to a computer via a USB connection in order to evaluate it there in an optionally purchasable software. This allows long-term measurements to be recorded and reviewed in detail. Even if the data is not transferred, the Vibration Meter has enough data storage capacity to save 16,000 measured values internally. There is also the option of purchasing VMID measurement slots.

Our innovative measurement system allows for vibration measurements to be taken on handheld tools thanks to autonomous sensors that do not need to be wired during measurements.

Stored data is downloaded from the sensor(s) at the end of the working period using a docking station connected to a PC. The software allows for the automatic computation and display of workers’ exposure to hand-arm vibration and indicates how such exposure compares with the limit and action values defined in the vibration Directive. In order to cover the full range of existing handheld tools, two sensors have been developed: one for usual vibrating tools while another is dedicated to highly percussive tools that generate high levels of shock (Up to 50 000 m/s²). Our measuring device that can be attached to any type of tool, is currently the only device capable of taking accurate vibration measurements without disturbing workers’ tasks with annoying and fragile cabling. A special version of the sensor is specifically designed for measurements on highly percussive tools

The OMS LaserScan LS01 scanning vibrometer is based on a patented electro-optical configuration developed by MetroLaser. The system consists of a portable laser sensor head and electronic controller. The laser sensor head includes a laser, frequency modulator, photo-detector, color CCD camera, and two computer-controlled scanning mirrors. The electronic controller has both a demodulated velocity output and a 10.7 MHz frequency modulated signal output. The front of the controller has a signal strength indicator, two selectable velocity ranges and an array of low pass filter options. A comprehensive software package, including modal analysis, is available. The software registers the user-selected target, controls the mirrors, performs dithering if needed, collects and analyses data, and displays 2D and 3D animations.
